Corrosion-resistant custom fabrication

NEMA 3X Enclosures for Coastal Salt Spray and Light Chemical Exposure

Built on NEMA 3 weatherproof and dust-tight protection, our NEMA 3X enclosures add corrosion resistance for salt-laden air and occasional industrial fumes. Choose 304 stainless steel or corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy as the material foundation, with finishing options tailored to your application.

Custom-fabricated NEMA 3X enclosure for coastal and industrial environments

Material selection and finishing are matched to the exposure conditions in your specification.

Material strategy

Choose the right corrosion-resistant base

NEMA 3X builds on gasketed, rain-tight, and dust-tight NEMA 3 construction with the additional requirement of corrosion resistance. The enclosure material provides a first line of defense before any finish is applied.

Durable stainless option

304 stainless steel

Provides baseline resistance to chlorides and mild acids, making it a practical choice for coastal salt exposure and light chemical contamination.

Weight-conscious option

5052 or 6061 aluminum alloy

Marine-grade alloy options provide a lighter enclosure solution. Additional surface passivation helps add margin against pitting in coastal environments.

Designed for demanding ambient conditions

Our material approach is intended for salt-laden air and occasional industrial fumes. Confirm the specific alloy, finish, and exposure conditions against your project requirements during quotation.

In-house process chain

From sheet metal to finished enclosure

A 50-person shop floor keeps cutting, forming, assembly, welding, and coating within one coordinated operation.

  1. 01 / Cut

    Fiber laser centers

Three 12 kW and 6 kW centers cut sheets up to 6 m long with consistent edge quality.

  2. 02 / Form

    CNC press brakes

Five brakes produce multi-axis bends, from small junction boxes to 6 m frames.

  3. 03 / Assemble

    PEM insertion and welding

Automated PEM insertion and 24 welding stations support laser, MIG, TIG, and cold welding with minimal post-processing.

  4. 04 / Finish

    Powder-coating line

A 2500 × 6000 mm line carries out pretreatment, application, and curing under one roof.

Quality controls

Checks that help reduce field failures

Six dedicated QA staff carry out incoming material verification, first-article dimensional checks, and 100% pre-shipment inspection. Inspection records help identify issues before shipment.

  • Weld inspection

Welds are visually examined and dye-penetrant tested when specified.

  • Coating records

Powder thickness and adhesion are logged by batch.

  • Dimensional consistency

Incoming verification and first-article checks address common concerns such as inconsistent bend angles and weld distortion.

  • Finish coverage

Inspection steps are intended to catch coating holidays before products leave the shop.

Project fit checklist

Is your enclosure project a fit?

If your drawings or specifications match most of these requirements, our engineering team can review them for design-for-manufacturing adjustments within two business days.

Discuss your specifications
  • 01Enclosure size between 300 mm and 6 m
  • 02Batch quantity of 10–500 units, with possible annual repeat orders
  • 03Captive hardware, grounding studs, or custom cutouts required
  • 04Exposure to salt spray or light chemical vapors
  • 05Preference for single-source fabrication and coating
