Industrial sheet metal fabrication
PLC Enclosures Built for Reliable Control
Enclosuremfg fabricates sheet metal PLC enclosures from compact wall-mount units to 6-meter distributed control cabinets. Laser profiling, forming, welding, hardware insertion, and powder coating are all completed in one facility.

Engineered for installation and airflow
A practical internal layout for PLC hardware
Mount PLC CPUs, I/O modules, and power supplies directly while preserving clear cable routes and a ventilated DIN rail zone.
Mounting layout
Standard 35 mm DIN rail provisions
- DIN rail sections positioned at 50 mm increments along the back panel.
- Pre-punched locating holes accept standard wire trough clips without secondary drilling.
- Clear cable-routing paths support tidy installation of PLCs, I/O modules, and power supplies.
Thermal management
Convection channels help prevent heat-related faults
Lower intake and upper exhaust slots create a high-ventilation, dust-screened airflow path across the DIN rail zone. The airflow is designed to reduce the risk of sealed-cabinet overheating and resulting PLC program faults.
Mesh screens are spot-welded during fabrication to block dust without unnecessarily restricting natural convection.
From material to finished cabinet
Controlled fabrication, all under one roof
Production combines dedicated forming, welding, and hardware insertion with in-house coating and inspection.

01
Material selection and traceability
Most enclosures use 1.5 mm or 2.0 mm 304 stainless steel or galvanized steel. Floor-standing frames supporting multiple 19-inch racks can use 3.0 mm plate. Material certificates are retained for every batch.
-
02
Laser cutting and precision forming
Three fiber laser centers cut outer contours and internal mounting patterns in a single setup. CAD bend lines account for material-grade spring-back, then five CNC press brakes form the panels. The largest brake is rated at 200 tons for lengths up to 6 meters.

03
Welding and hardware insertion
Laser welders join visible-face seams to limit distortion near heat-sensitive electronics; MIG and TIG stations handle structural frames. Seven automated clinching and tapping units install PEM fasteners and captive nuts before coating.

04
Pretreatment and powder coating
The in-house 2500 × 6000 mm line applies epoxy-polyester powder after zinc-phosphate pretreatment. Standard finishes include RAL 7035 light gray and RAL 9005 black. Coated samples are salt-spray tested for up to 500 hours.
Quality assurance
Checks at every production stage
Six dedicated QA staff oversee incoming coil verification, first-article dimensional reporting, and 100% final inspection. Every enclosure receives a 24-hour functional test with simulated heat load before crating.
Applications we regularly supply
- Battery energy storage inverter cabinets
- Semiconductor handling equipment control panels
- Roadside traffic and utility monitoring enclosures
- Packaging line operator consoles
Typical batches range from 10 to 500 units, with annual blanket orders available for repeat designs.
