North American OEM enclosure support

UL Certification Support for Custom Sheet Metal Enclosures

Build a clearer path toward UL or ETL evaluation with custom enclosures manufactured to your approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements. We help coordinate fabrication details and available production records for OEM equipment destined for North America.

Enclosuremfg supports industrial machinery, energy storage and power equipment, and electrical systems. We are a fabrication partner—not a certification body—and do not represent enclosures as UL Listed or promise approval of completed equipment.

Who we support

Enclosure fabrication for North American OEM equipment

From compact electrical boxes to large machine housings and structural assemblies, we support high-mix, low-to-medium-volume builds.

Industrial equipment

Machinery, automation systems, and operator consoles.

Energy and electrification

Battery energy storage systems, inverters, and EV charging equipment.

Power infrastructure

Switchboards, electrical cabinets, and power equipment.

Outdoor systems

Telecom, utility, and field automation enclosures.

Coordinate before production

Define certification-sensitive details in the drawing package

Material, thickness, openings, joints, hardware, bonding provisions, and finish should be set against the applicable product standard and certification-body review. We use your approved drawings, specifications, and compliance requirements as the production basis. There is no universal sheet thickness that guarantees UL compliance.

01 / Construction

Material and sheet thickness

Specify material grade, gauge or metric thickness, finish, and any restrictions. We review the requirements for drawing fit and production feasibility rather than prescribe a one-size-fits-all compliance thickness.

02 / Bonding

Grounding and resistance criteria

Identify grounding locations, specified hardware, surface preparation, test method, resistance limits, sampling plan, and reporting format. We can fabricate defined provisions and confirm separately whether requested testing and records fit the agreed scope.

03 / Materials

Insulation and flammability evidence

Identify exact insulating materials, gaskets, barriers, required ratings, and existing certificates or test reports. We do not claim to perform flame testing or issue flammability reports without a separately agreed, qualified testing arrangement.

What our documentation can cover

Depending on agreed scope and records available, documentation may include material and process traceability, inspection results, and production details relevant to your drawing package. Any ground-resistance or insulation/flammability report must be specified and confirmed before order placement.

In-house capabilities

Controlled, repeatable production under one roof

Keeping core processes in-house supports continuity and coordination as parts move through fabrication. We review large-format work against the design and process requirements.

Our range covers compact electrical enclosures and assemblies up to approximately 4–6 meters, subject to design review.

Fiber laser cutting

Three machines, including 12 kW and 6 kW systems.

CNC press-brake forming

Five machines across multiple tonnage capacities.

Hardware insertion and tapping

Automated clinching, servo tapping, and drilling-tapping equipment for specified hardware and threaded features.

Welding and assembly

MIG, TIG, handheld laser, and cold-welding equipment, with large assembly and fixture tables.

Finishing and powder coating

Brushing and deburring, plus an in-house 2500 × 6000 mm powder coating line for oversized parts and frames.

Engineering and quality

Resolve manufacturability questions early

Our organization includes five mechanical and manufacturing engineers and six QA/QC specialists. Engineering review can address bend allowances, assembly clearances, hardware placement, and weld-related dimensional risks before production.

Quality controls extend from incoming material checks through in-process inspection and first-article review to pre-shipment inspection. Share project inspection points and record needs before quoting so the appropriate control plan and deliverables can be confirmed.

Fabrication partner, not certification body

Enclosuremfg does not claim enclosures are UL Listed, UL Recognized, or ETL Listed, and cannot certify completed equipment or guarantee a certification outcome. Acceptance depends on the complete product, applicable standards, construction details, test results, and the certification body’s evaluation.

If a UL-recognized component, listed material, or approved construction is required, identify it in the drawings or compliance requirements. This helps us confirm what can be manufactured and documented and support a more efficient handoff for your UL or ETL project.

RFQ checklist

Help us review your project accurately

Send the information available and flag any required electrical, grounding, or flammability test criteria for separate scope review.

Discuss your RFQ
  1. 01. 2D drawings and 3D CAD files, if available.
  2. 02. Material grade, thickness, finish, and coating requirements.
  3. 03. Quantities, forecast, and target delivery schedule.
  4. 04. Hardware, grounding, bonding, and insulation specifications.
  5. 05. Applicable standard, certification body, or project-specific construction requirements.
  6. 06. Required inspection records, material documents, or test reports.
  7. 07. Packaging, labeling, and destination details.

Request a quotation

Share your drawings and certification-related requirements

Our engineering and quality teams can review fabrication scope, raise questions, and provide feasibility feedback and a quotation. Include your target UL or ETL pathway and project schedule so the review can focus on your equipment requirements.
