Custom industrial sheet metal fabrication
Custom Disconnect Enclosure Fabrication
Enclosures built around your rotary disconnect switch requirements, with accurately located interlock handle openings, internal flange provisions, and protective door structures designed to help prevent access while equipment is energized.
Send us your drawings or preliminary specification for a manufacturability review and RFQ. Our five mechanical and manufacturing engineers can review bend details, mounting interfaces, and clearances before production to help reduce fit-up problems during panel assembly.

Designed around the mechanism
Disconnect enclosure details that matter
A rotary handle may pass through the enclosure door or side wall. Its position and the door-interlock geometry must align with the selected switch, panel layout, and installation requirements.
Precision handle opening
Opening location and dimensions based on your switch and enclosure layout.
Internal mechanism provisions
Flange, bracket, or mounting features for the specified operating mechanism.
Door and latch geometry
Door, frame, and latch features to support your specified interlocking arrangement.
Access-protection features
Protective structures intended to help deter unintended door opening during operation.
The final safety arrangement depends on the switch, operating mechanism, enclosure design, and applicable regulations. We manufacture to customer-approved specifications; the customer or responsible design authority must confirm assembly electrical and safety compliance, including applicable OSHA requirements.
One coordinated manufacturing source
Fabrication capabilities for custom disconnect enclosures
Our 50-person operation brings engineering, fabrication, finishing, and inspection together under one roof. This helps coordinate related processes for projects from compact control boxes to large machinery housings and cabinets.
| Capability | Equipment or capacity | Customer benefit |
|---|---|---|
| Fiber laser cutting | 12 kW and 6 kW sources; 3 machines | Accurate profiles and openings for handles, components, and cable entry |
| CNC press-brake forming | 5 machines: OG35, OG100, and OG200 | Formed panels and reinforcement matched to enclosure drawings |
| Hardware insertion and tapping | 7 clinching, tapping, and drilling-tapping machines | Repeatable PEM hardware, stud, standoff, and threaded features |
| Welding | 24 laser, MIG, TIG, and cold-welding units | Process selection suited to material, strength, and appearance |
| Assembly fixturing | 18 heavy-duty tables and platforms, up to 2,000 × 6,000 mm | Stable setup for large cabinets and welded structures |
| Surface finishing | In-house grinding, buffing, and stainless-steel finishing | Consistent surface preparation and weld blending |
| Powder coating | In-house 2,500 × 6,000 mm coating and curing line | Large enclosures coated without an outside finishing handoff |

Engineering review before production
Precise handle openings and interlock provisions
A misplaced or incorrectly sized handle cutout can interfere with switch operation, sealing, or door alignment. We use customer drawings and switch-mechanism data to establish the opening and related features before laser cutting.
Our review can flag questions about bend allowances, door clearances, mounting interfaces, and the relationship between the handle and internal mechanism.
Critical-to-function dimensions
Clearly identify the handle opening location, mounting interface, door alignment, and interlock-related clearances. Include inspection records, material documentation, and acceptance criteria with the RFQ so we can confirm scope.
Helpful information for an RFQ
- 01Switch and rotary operating mechanism manufacturer and model
- 022D drawings or 3D CAD files for enclosure and mechanism
- 03Handle opening dimensions and location references
- 04Internal flange, bracket, or mounting interface details
- 05Door swing, latch, and interlock requirements
- 06Cable entry, component mounting, and grounding requirements
- 07Material, thickness, finish, and environmental requirements
We fabricate specified openings and sheet metal features. Selection or certification of the electrical disconnect and validation of a complete interlock system are not assumed unless expressly defined and agreed.
From cut panel to finished enclosure
Material, forming, welding, and finish options
Construction depends on installation environment, enclosure size, structural loads, and design requirements. We review specified materials and manufacturing details before production to ensure process compatibility with part geometry and intended use.
01 / Cut and form
Accurate panel geometry
Fiber lasers profile panels and component openings; CNC press brakes form doors, covers, channels, and structural sections. Engineering review can identify bend-line conflicts and potential assembly interference.
02 / Weld and assemble
Process matched to the job
Laser, MIG, TIG, and cold-welding equipment support different material, joint, and appearance requirements. Heavy-duty fixtures help position large assemblies; discuss weld blending expectations during quotation.
03 / Finish in-house
Coordinated protective finish
Our powder coating line handles parts up to 2,500 × 6,000 mm. Specify coating color, texture, and any masking or grounding areas in your RFQ.
OEM and industrial projects
Flexible supply for varied production needs
We support high-mix, low-to-medium-volume manufacturing, typically 10 to 500 units per batch, as well as recurring supply programs. Six-meter fabrication platforms and in-house finishing can reduce reliance on separate fabrication and coating suppliers.
Fewer external handoffs can make production coordination easier and help sourcing teams track projects through cutting, forming, welding, and finishing.
Suitable applications
- Industrial machinery and automated production equipment
- Battery energy storage and power conversion systems
- EV charging infrastructure and power distribution equipment
- Electrical control panels and switchboard assemblies
- Outdoor utility and field automation cabinets
Quality through production
Checks aligned to your requirements
Six full-time QA/QC specialists support inspection from incoming material verification through production and pre-shipment checks. Depending on agreed requirements, quality processes can include drawing and CAD review, material checks, in-process inspection, first-article inspection, and final inspection.
Review geometry and specified interfaces.
Check incoming material against agreed requirements.
Monitor production features and critical dimensions.
Confirm inspection scope and acceptance criteria before production.
