Outdoor electrical enclosures

NEMA 3 Enclosures for Outdoor Equipment Protection

Protect electrical and control components from falling dirt, windblown dust, rain, and sleet with fabricated NEMA 3 cabinets built for fixed outdoor installations.

From freezing, icing conditions to intense heat and blowing sand, our weather-focused construction pairs reinforced structures with temperature-tolerant seals to help cabinets maintain their fit and function.

Fabrication capabilities

Built for consistent fit at production scale

Controlled forming, assembly, and finishing help preserve panel geometry and door alignment across custom projects and repeat orders.

Sheet metal forming

Carbon steel or stainless steel sheet is profiled on 12 kW and 6 kW fiber lasers. Multi-axis CNC press brakes form controlled bends, while automated clinching installs PEM hardware without adding heat that could warp sealing surfaces.

Large-format capacity

Three laser cutters and five CNC press brakes process panels up to 6 meters. Eighteen heavy assembly tables support frames up to 2000 × 6000 mm, from compact junction boxes to full-height control cabinets.

In-house powder coating

An automated 2500 × 6000 mm powder line combines pretreatment and cured coatings for uniform coverage over corners and weld seams—areas where inconsistent coverage can create moisture ingress points.

Quality records

Six dedicated QA staff perform incoming material verification, first-article dimensional reporting, and 100% final visual and fit checks. Material certificates and coating thickness records accompany each shipment.

Designed around outdoor exposure

Reinforcement and sealing for changing conditions

For installations exposed to sustained wind, blowing sand, rain, and sleet, structural details and seal contact matter. Construction can be tailored to project requirements and exposure conditions.

01 / Structure

Limit panel and door deflection

Internal bracing and reinforced door frames help resist wind-related movement. 3 mm and 4 mm material thicknesses are standard on larger faces; forming spot checks verify flatness before welding.

02 / Sealing

Gaskets for freeze-thaw and heat

Gasket channels accept silicone or EPDM profiles rated for repeated freeze-thaw cycles and prolonged heat. Low-heat laser and TIG welding passes help minimize distortion that could compromise seal contact.

03 / Verification

Thermal-cycle testing

Completed units undergo thermal cycling that replicates conditions from sub-zero icing to desert surface temperatures, supporting evaluation of enclosure fit through temperature extremes.

Project fit

From compact boxes to outdoor control cabinets

Industrial machinery builders, BESS integrators, and telecom contractors order NEMA 3 cabinets in lots of 10 to 500 units.

Typical scopes include laser-cut side panels, multi-bend bases, welded lifting points, and captive hardware for quick field mounting. Recurring annual contracts can use consistent batch dimensions maintained by the same tooling and inspection fixtures.
